The 1,200-acre Keystone State Park is great for day-trips and family vacations year round. Camping, modern cabins, many trails, and a lake are all within walking distance, providing an ideal setting for wildlife watching or outdoor adventures.
The park is within easy driving distance from the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, the Laurel Highlands, and their many attractions.

A beach has been present at Keystone for decades, since the 1970's was a Modern Restroom / Lifeguard Station with outdoor dressing stockades. In 2005, as part of Pennyslvania's Growing Greener Initative, a modern beach facility was constructed including modern showers and toilets as well as year round facilities and modern concession and safety stations.

Keystone has two campgrounds, Lakeside and Hillview. Once developed in 1958, there was only the Lakeside Campground that originally had pit latrines. However the addition of modern water and wastewater facilities in 1975, shower facilities and modern flush toilets were added to Lakeside as well as the addition of the 60-site wooded Hillside Campground, A modern shower facility was added to the new campground in the 1980s. In 2005, along with the new beach house, a modern facility at Lakeside was added and over the years reconfiguration at that campground also occurred.
Other Activites
Beside the Beach and Campgrounds, there are a great host of activities including picnicking throughout the park and hiking trails
